| Wafer product: For many customers, the well-known Karlsbader Oblate is a popular snack. To traditionally produce a Karlsbader Oblate, a compound of sugar and almond slivers is spread onto a thin round wafer sheet (Ø 18 cm) which is afterwards fused (baked together) with a second thin wafer sheet. Different diameters and fillings (for example chocolate filling) can certainly be realized. The round wafer itself is tasteless and can serve e.g. as outer shell for ice-cream or praliné paste (sandwich-system). Thicker round wafers with a deeper engraving are - topped with cheese, sausages, cold cuts or jam - an excellent alternative to bread or bakery products.
